Open your work planner and book dates with your friends the same way you would jot down clients. And while you’re at it, stop cancelling plans. A proper personal life will improve your mental state, and make you so much more efficient during work.

3. You’re constantly getting sick. Overexerting yourself in your work can often lead to physical exhaustion. A lower immunity means you’ll easily get colds, stomach flus, headaches. This is why it’s crucial you balance your work and your personal life. Take the time to relax and treat yourself right. Don’t drink too much and go easy on the pills; eat healthy and exercise as often as you can. You can’t expect to give clients the five-star treatment when you’re in need of medical treatment yourself. Letting yourself get sick is just bad business, honestly. You must also avoid clients who are sick or at least make sure you take preventive medicine before seeing them, and dress well during cold season when you’re going to see a client at a different location. Better safe than sorry.
